VERAC AI LTD ("Verac", "we", "us") operates verac.ai. This notice explains what we collect when you visit the site, why we collect it, and how to contact us. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and respond to enquiries.
Verac is the trading name of VERAC AI LTD, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 17102184), with its registered office at 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. We act as the data controller for personal data collected through this site. For privacy questions, email privacy@verac.ai.
When you browse the site we do not require an account. If you submit the contact form or request an Evidence Pack sample, we receive the email address and any details you choose to include. Our hosting provider also logs standard technical request data (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.
The site uses essential browser storage only. Your cookie-banner choice is saved in your browser's localStorage (key: "verac-cookie-consent") so we don't prompt you again. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we later add optional analytics, we will only load it after you accept it in the banner.
The site is hosted on Netlify, which processes standard server logs as a data processor on our behalf. We enable Netlify Real User Monitoring (RUM) to measure page-load performance (Core Web Vitals such as LCP, INP, and CLS). Per Netlify's documentation, RUM is a platform-injected script that does not set cookies in your browser and collects aggregated performance metrics rather than personal profiles.
Messages sent through the contact form or Evidence Pack request form are delivered to us via Resend (our transactional email provider) and stored in our mailbox. We use these details only to reply to you and to send the material you requested. We do not sell or share this data. For general enquiries, you can also email shemwadowski@verac.ai.
Form submissions and related email are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable follow-up period, then deleted on request or during routine clean-up. Server logs are retained by Netlify per their standard retention policy.
If you are in the UK, EEA, or a similar jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. Email privacy@verac.ai and we'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
